It’s hard to find someone who doesn’t like pasta in any of its variants. Characteristic of Mediterranean cuisine, it is very easy to prepare and versatile, encourages creativity in the kitchen and can be combined with a variety of ingredients.

The taste of homemade pasta is better than the best industrial pasta. Various fresh pastas can only be made from flour and eggs. Colors and different flavors such as spinach, saffron, squid ink, and other spices can also be added.

Preparation procedure:

To make pasta dough (for 6 people) you need 500 g of flour and 5 eggs (at room temperature) or a glass of mineral water. Put flour and eggs in a bowl and mix vigorously with a fork or hand whisk. Then knead with your hands until smooth, about 10 minutes. You can add a little water if it is very dry, or a little more flour if the mixture is too soft. Make a small ball of dough: when it sticks to your fingers it will be ready. Place on a floured surface and cut into small pieces: now it's time to work with the dough machine.

The rollers of the dough rolling machine have positions for up to 9 thicknesses of different pasta, which are selected by aligning the number dialers, in position 1 the thickness is about 3 mm and can be reduced to 0.2 mm.

Enter into the machine to make one piece of dough, then start the handle; repeat several times, overlapping the dough until the dough gets the right shape. Then switch to position 2 and wrap only once. This way you can continue to reduce the thickness until you like it.

Dry the pasta for at least an hour and you can already cook as desired.

Safety and maintenance

  • Do not immerse the hand-held pasta machine in the water or wash it in the dishwasher.
  • You can clean with a brush or wood scraper. Clean the underside of the smooth rollers from time to time with kitchen paper. Do not insert spatulas, knives or rags into the rollers.
  • The ends of the machine cylinders can be lubricated with vegetable oil.
